Are You Derailing Your EFT Success?

A negative emotion, say resentment, is surfacing. It’s threatening to over boil, but you know what to do: You know the Basic Recipe, along with the tapping points. You choose a specific incident that possibly triggered it, and diligently go through the process. After several rounds, your progress is almost non-existent. What are you doing wrong?

See if this scenario gives you a clue:  My client, Katherine, started saying the set-up statement, “Even though I have this anger, I completely & deeply love & accept myself.” My intuition told me to stop her.

I asked her, “Do you really love and accept yourself?” Her answer didn’t surprise me one bit: “Do I love myself?…I hate myself!”

Sounds familiar? Well, here’s the clincher: No number of EFT rounds will loosen your blocks, till you’ve conquered your self-acceptance issues. They’re thankfully all tappable, and MUST be addressed before delving more deeply into the process.

Here is a perfect analogy:

Two people, Bob and Greg, are planning to take a trip. They go to the train station, and stand on the platform waiting for the train. The train finally arrives, and Greg  quickly goes on board.

What about Bob? He stays standing on the platform, looking wistfully at the moving train. Sounds crazy? This is *exactly* how some people approach EFT! The difference between entering the train, or staying on the platform, hinges on whether you can accept yourself, or at least say,”I’m beginning to accept parts of me ….”

Self-acceptance issues are easier to dissolve when you can bounce  your feelings around with someone else. Give me a call so we can work it through together. Don’t stay on the platform! The ride is pleasant, and the destination is enticing!
